This physical scale model by ANB Architects presents the monument within its full site. A curved, arcaded monument with carved relief panels stands on a raised plaza, framed by white pillars and lit columns. From the plaza, a landscaped walkway lined with trees, flower beds and garden lights leads to a tall flag post and the entrance arch.
The model also shows the surface parking, the green belt and the adjoining dual carriageway with street lights and vehicles, so the monument can be read in its real urban setting. Built-in lighting lets the design be presented at night as well as in daylight.
